WhiteSpace Gallery presents sculptor Sharif Bey, Ph.D. July 27, 2207.  Bey is a professor at Winston-Salem State University and Fulbright Scholar.  Reception and Artist Talk from 6:30-9pm.  Live music and dance performance.

Atlanta-based sculptor Kevin Cole and Preston Sampson, a painter from West Palm Beach, FL will be featured at WhiteSpace Gallery March 9 - April 26.  Opening reception is March 9 from 6-9pm.  Turkish and Middle Eastern dance will be performed by Alexandria and Zeki.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Arts Based Elementary School.

Calling all art enthusiasts…whether you are a seasoned collector, novice or just enjoy artistic visual stimulation.  If you are in the area, please join us as we celebrate the opening of our art gallery, WhiteSpace at the Piedmont Leaf Lofts.  Please contact me with any questions or if you are interested in exhibiting.

We know a lot more of you have some special ‘Remember When’ messages you would like to share.  Since the first request is buried so deep in the blog, here is a second opportunity for you to share.

As of June 28, 2006, 124 classmates have checked-in on the website.  That’s a great turn-out, but there are still more classmates out there.  Of the classmates who have checked-in, here is the breakdown of  the responses to the attendance question:

‘I definitely plan to attend’ - 82

‘I may be able to attend’ - 39

‘I will not be able to attend’ - 3

As you can see, the majority of those who checked-in will be attending, and hopefully a lot of the ‘maybe’ responses will change to ‘yes’.

If you know people in our class who have not checked in to the website, please encourage them to do so because the planning committee is using the responses for planning purposes.

Also, please don’t feel you have to wait until the July 15th deadline to pay your reunion fees.  Remember that the planning committee needs working capital to make deposits to the event locations and for catering.

Hello Central HS Class of 1986 Graduates,

As you all know, our 20th year class reunion will take place during the weekend of September 29 thru October 1, 2006!!! 

As stated on the website, the reunion cost is $85 per classmate and $70 per spouse/guest.  The cost for children attending the Family Picnic is covered in the cost of the adults.  There is no extra charge for children.  You may either mail your reunion fees or pay online via credit card.

The payment deadline is July 15, 2006!!

-  Your kids.  Show everyone those beautiful kids you’re raising.  Everyone has a digital camera with a million pictures of your kids still on the memory card.  Download one or more of them and send it to me.

-  Current photo of yourself or you with your family.  If you send me a picture in this category, I’ll post it next to your high school mug shot.

-  Old high school photos
